I love to cook Thanksgiving dinner and over the years I have learned that I can make certain things REALLY well and others…well, they need a little help! My homemade cranberry sauce is heavenly but my homemade gravy comes out bland, lumpy and not so impressive. I do not want to serve bland, lumpy and flavorless gravy to my guests! I have discovered that If I use a combination of drippings from my turkey, some added sage and ground pepper and a couple packets of McCormick Turkey Gravy I end up with a gravy that everyone raves about! I like watching guests go back for seconds and I am confident every year now that my 'semi home made with the help of McCormick' gravy will be a huge success!

McCormick Turkey gravy packets come in handy the whole year through in my house because our Thanksgiving Day turkey actually lasts for months! I buy a BIG turkey for Thanksgiving and when we are through eating it, we chop up all the leftover turkey and freeze it back in small containers for use in numerous recipes. Our favorites are turkey soup, hot turkey sandwiches, turkey pot pie…the list goes on and on! Turkey pot pie is one of my favorites and by keeping a couple packets of McCormick Turkey Gravy in the pantry, I know that I have a quick meal to feed my family that they will love.

McCormick Turkey Gravy

One of the reasons I love McCormick Turkey Gravy is because it is reliable. It is also made with no artificial flavors or colors, no MSG, and 0 grams of trans fat. I was sent a few packets of the McCormick's Turkey Gravy to try out in my recipe, although I admit I was already very familiar with it! The one thing I love about it is that I get NO LUMPS…even if you don't really follow the package directions because you are in a hurry and there are kids arguing and dogs barking and a husband who wants to know where the screwdriver is. One thing I recommend is to use your pan drippings and several packs of the McCormick Turkey Gravy when you make your gravy on Thanksgiving. Then, you will have lots of leftover gravy along with your leftover turkey. It reheats very easily in a small pot so you can use it quickly and easily to create your leftover turkey masterpieces like the pot pie below!
